Marjorie Jane Patteson died peacefully in her sleep on October 3, 2014 at the age of 89. She grew up on a ranch in the Davis Mountains area of west Texas where she enjoyed a magical childhood with her parents, Beau and Josie McCut Read Obituary
Jane was a memorable person with an effervescent way about her. When her daughter Letha took me along on a visit for a few days, I found myself delightfully welcomed. Not only did she cook really well but grabbed us for a quick twirling dance right in the kitchen! She was such a fun person, but wholly committed to God as well. Her kids were a true source of pride for her and I feel lucky to have known her. Letha, thank you for sharing your Mom.
Letha, I'm so sorry for your loss. I did not know your mother well and had only met her a few times but I so enjoyed hearing stories about her over the years as we walked and rode the bikes at the rec center. Her famous empanadas she made for Christy's wedding celebration were so delicious and her teacakes you shared with me several times were wonderful.
