I remember Marjorie as being the most kind person I've known. She taught me so many things about the airline business when I worked with her at the Dallas reservations office. A kind and gentle soul that everyone loved. My fondest memory of Marjorie is when she organized a surprise baby shower for the child that my wife and I were expecting in 1989. Always ready with a beer, wine or sweet tea. I always remember a house filled with love and laughter...every single time I had to go find my mom! That’s where she was! Hanging out at the Spillner’s enjoying chit chats while sipping on a cold drink. Not telling you which drink it was! Also, my mom’s travel partner. The Spillner’s were always including her on their trips. And boy, oh boy, she went! No hesitation there. Always wonderful stories to bring back and tell. Didn’t take us kids though...but I can see why. Ms Spillner, you are forever in my heart. I love and miss you. Carry Back Circle was the best! Marjorie and Corky were a part of our Aerobic Dance group at Marcus Rec Center--for over forty years. Corky faithfully drove Marjorie and picked her up twice a week.
Oh how Marjorie brightened any room she entered. We loved cheering for her when she entered a "Mrs." contest and danced her way into the judges' hearts. I searched for the birthday poster we made for one of Marjorie's big birthdays but alas couldn't find it.
To Marjorie's sweet daughters Dawn and Cassie, know my heart is broken for you two. Sending you prayers of strength and understanding.

Dawn and Cassie: I will always remember your mom's energy and effervescent smile. She certainly had such a zest for life! And I loved her sense of style, always looking so chic and put together. I fondly recall greeting her and your dad on Sunday mornings as they sat in the pew behind me at Holy Cross. They were such a warm and devoted couple who are now reunited in their heavenly home.
