My fellow Marine, I will miss you in the present but we will hook up in the hereafter.
Sending fondest memories and my sympathy to the family of Mark. I worked for Mark in 2001 through 2004 and it was a wonderful experience. He taught me how to be a great teacher with children and now that I am a mom myself my daughter is getting the best. My thanks to Mark for giving me my first job. Fondly Cheryl Branch (well known as the art teacher of CHildren's Tree House)
What a beautiful Video. I can not express how sorry I am for your loss. May God be with you in this time of grief.
Linda and all of the family and friends of Mark, I want to extend my deepest sympathy at this time of sorrow. I played many rounds of golf with Mark, he always greeted me with hello and how is your golf game. I always admired Mark for how he never gave up no matter how bad a shot he made or his golf score. After playing, the group would meet, talk about the round, and settle anything needing to be settled, and of course discuss, laugh and joke about our good and not so good shots and scores. I'm honored to have experienced a walk with him around the golf course. Mark Twain once said "Golf is a good walk spoiled". This was never the case when Mark Petrick was playing with you. I will miss playing with my friend.
Linda, my prayers and thoughts are with your and your family. Mark gave everything his all, just as he did with his illness. I will truly miss him and his great smile. Mark was such a positive person although some days where not as good as others in his opinion he never had a bad day, just not as great as it might have been. He taught us all how to treasure life more. Cindy
Mark was such an inspiration to me to live fully. He was always on the go and doing the things he loved. I instantly felt like his friend and a part of his family. Mark's spirit was contagious and will be missed by so many. I will never forget how we met… He was playing golf and saw my political sign in my yard and he struck up a conversation with me. Mark was never shy! He was passionate and committed to his family, country, friends and community. A true role model. His memory will be with me always. Good ole "papa bear".
Linda and family, I just learned of Mark's passing while doing research on my computer. I have very fond memories of you both during High School. May God comfort and bless you during this very difficult time. Sincerely Randy Hicks McAllen, Texas
Nothing has taught me how to treasure life more than watching Mark enjoy every minute of his. We will miss him dearly…
Mark was a true giver…His zest for life will be dearly missed! Our hearts go out to Linda and the family.
Mark, you will greatly be missed. I will never forget your passion for life. I will remember and appreciate all of the support and encouragement you gave me during the last city council race. I will also miss your "just checking in" phone calls. My thoughts and prayers go out to Linda and your family. You will always be remembered.
