She was truly one of the kindest and most generous people I've known. And funny, so very funny. We laughed every year remembering her almost catching fire to the microwave at work when heating up one of her corny dogs too long. I think of Dr Peppers and corny dogs when I think of her. Her favorite meal every day! We would always tease her about never drinking water. LOL. I think of handmade birthday cards with special star stickers and other personal touches. Vintage Martha. I will always treasure visiting with her in her living room and playing the piano for her. You would have thought we were at Carnegie Hall. She was so delighted and always took such pleasure in the simple things in life (from the gentle dusting of books at the office to picking up the nuts in the driveway each day). Martha Ann always had this desire in her heart to make sure all of us got a birthday card on our birthdays, and guess who took the time, year after year, to send all of us a birthday card, not bought, but hand made.
