Martha Joy Roberts' Obituary
Martha Joy Roberts, better known as “Joy,” age 74, passed away peacefully on Wednesday afternoon, July 25, 2018 in Dallas, Texas. Joy worked as a secretary ,school volunteer, mother, grandmother and homemaker. She gave love to her family and friends, daily. Joy also managed an in-home daycare with her late husband, Lawrence Michael Roberts during her younger years. She maintained a degree in child psychology from Eastfield College. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters: Laura Paige Secord and husband Erik, Amber Michele Roberts; her son: Michael Blake Roberts and fiancé Mandi Clayton; sisters: Linda Hensley, Carolyn Richards; brother, Jerry Richards and wife, Robin; six grandchildren: Brittany Roberts, Falon Roberts, Skye Secord, James Pryor, Graysen Roberts and Elijah Roberts, all living in the DFW area as well as many nieces, nephews and other loving family members and friends.Services: A Graveside Service for Mrs. Joy Roberts will be held on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at 2pm in Restland Cemetery. Visitation will be observed one hour prior to service in Restland Funeral Home.
