Mary Hutchinson Lewis, 84 of Dallas, Texas was born on July 19, 1937 in De Kalb, Texas to Mable and Robert Doss Hutchinson. Mary was the middle child; Lynn Shafer was her older sister and Robert Hutchinson was her younger brother. Mary went peacefully to heaven on July 28, 2022.
Mary lived a beautiful, love-filled life. Her way of giving back was to be present for all of us. Her family and close friends are what she cherished most. Mary’s favorite things were family parties, Abbey (her sweet dachshund), cheering everyone she cared about to go out and do great things, a good cup of coffee and any kind of cake, cookie, or ice cream! Mary had a childlike spirit, joy for life, the love of laughter, total lack of criticism, and a willingness to share. Mary spent many years working at Bank of America where she was an excellent employee and made numerous life-long friends.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Jenny Scott and Willie Randle; son, William A. Scarborough, III and wife, Emily; grandchildren, Brady Scott and wife Lauren, Tiffany Colquitt and husband John Adam, Taylor Scarborough, and Madison Scarborough; great-grandchildren, Lee Scott and Jane Scott (deceased); mother, Elizabeth Phy, and Jack and Henry Colquitt; brother, Robert Hutchinson and wife, Sharon, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends whom all loved Mary dearly.

Mary’s service will take place at Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home on Saturday, July 16th, 2022 at 2:00.
