Mrs. McCorkle was brilliant and an inspiring and dedicated math teacher. She was so enthusiastic about her subject it was hard not to be enthusiastic with her. I can still picture her drawing solid geometry explanations on the board. She was also such a sweet, lovely person. I remember a time she thought she saw us cheating on a test (we weren’t) and gave a tearful and impassioned lecture on cheating and honesty. Everyone thought fondly of her.
