Mary Kathryn Sanderson's Obituary
Mary Kathryn (Davisson) Sanderson Died February 19, 2017 in Dallas, Texas – after much too brief a life. Born in Iowa City, Iowa on April 30, 1958. She is survived by her loving husband of 23 years, Mark Sanderson; her devoted mother, Marilyn Davisson; her caring brothers Jimmy, Danny (Lori), Bobby, and Tommy; her niece Stephanie and nephews Kyle, Dan, and Victor; and her cherished dog, Millie. Mary graduated from Butler University with a degree in Business. She began her career with Xerox Corporation in Indianapolis, then relocated with the company to Dallas, Texas in 1983. Mary excelled in the business world, eventually transferring to sales, which suited her outgoing personality. Later in her career, she sold advertising with Advo and Valassis, before retiring in 2014. Mary is best remembered as a strong and vivacious woman who loved and embraced all of the special moments in life with her friends and family. Whether traveling to far away places with her husband and friends, or simply spending time with her “Ya Ya” sisters, Mary brightened every room with her smile and laugh. She enjoyed skiing, gardening, cycling, remodeling projects with her husband, reading, and good food and wine. She was a warm and supportive friend to all, and a lover of all animals. Mary will be remembered for her generosity of spirit, kindness, and thoughtfulness. She will be missed by all that knew her. Visitation will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, 23, February 2017, at Restland Funeral Home 13005 Greenville Avenue Dallas, Texas 75243. Tel. (972)238-7111. A Private Memorial will follow. Details on a Celebration of Mary’s life will be provided. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Lung Association.
