Mary Ruth Snoddy's Obituary
Mary Ruth Robbins Snoddy was born January 2, 1934 in Allen, Texas to Mary Elizabeth Sandifer and Walter Lee Robbins, Jr. Mary Ruth left for Heaven April 30, 2018.She was preceded in this life by her parents and husband, Lloyd Owen “Mike” Snoddy. Son, Michael Owen and daughter, Lynn Michelle, survive her. Mary Ruth attended Garland High School where she met her High School sweetheart, Mike Snoddy. Mary Ruth and Mike married May 1, 1953.Mary Ruth’s purpose was caring for her family and others she loved (this circle was large because she never met a stranger). Family came first and foremost. She was the fort commander and protector while Mike traveled for work, emergency handyman, home project manager. For others, she was the Girl Scout Troop leader, Richland College Emeritus program event planner, the strong shoulder to cry on, the Mom for others who needed her to be.Mary Ruth was an artist of china painting, woodworking and quilting. However, her greatest art was being Mom. Well done, Mom. We will be with you, Dad and the rest of the family in a blink of God’s eye.Funeral Services will be held Saturday, May 5, 2018, beginning at 12:30PM, at Restland Funeral Home, Wildwood Chapel. Burial will follow at Restland Memorial Park.
