Paulette B. Travis
Jere and Sam,
I have thought about you all so many times and wish I had NOT neglected to pick up the phone and reconnect. We may have been separated by years but I have many cherished memories of you and your family.
Jere, I can’t begin to fathom your pain — we don’t expect our children to predecease us.
Sam, there’s nobody closer than a brother. My deepest sympathy to you and Sarah.Praying that the light of God’s presence will extinguish the darkness of despair during your grief.
“The Lord protects the lives of His people and rescues them…” Psalm 97:10
God is willing to meet you in your place of greatest pain.
Helen Keller said, “What we once enjoyed and deeply loved, we can never lose, for all that we love deeply becomes a part of us.” Cherish your memories!
I’m so sorry this happened in your family. Please convey my sympathy to Matt’s wife and daughter.
May you all fully feel the presence of God in those sometimes unseen, often under-appreciated anchors – the ones who give you enough to see you through each day. And may you find joy in being the same for someone else.
Sorrow is a fruit. God does NOT make it grow on limbs too weak to bear it. – Victor HugoBlessings and love, Paulette Travis – Mother of Russell
