My precious, sweet Grandma lived her life full of love, grace, and kindness. She dressed sharper than just about any lady on the planet. She learned to use Facebook so she could keep up with her grandkids and never miss a picture of her great-grandchildren. Her quiet demeanor hid a quick wit that could catch you off guard and cause you to belly laugh. Many of her friends were several decades younger than her because she was just that hip. When she spent time with you, there was no doubt in your mind that you were deeply loved and cherished.Visits to her house as a child were full memory making – craft time at her kitchen table, special breakfasts of Toaster Strudels and sausage, cousin overnights on her pullout couch (she would even hide sweets for us to find after everyone went to bed – our “Midnight Sneaks”). Since my family lived so far away, she would mail my siblings and me books with a recorded cassette tape of her reading the story (she would even ring a bell so we knew when to turn the page). We loved listening to Grandma read to us!As I grew older we took shopping trips together and enjoyed early morning conversations over cups of coffee at the same kitchen table we used to make crafts at. I loved watching her dote on my kids, her great-grandkids, and she always had room in her arms for them and time to read them a book (or two, or three). Reading with Great-Grandma Robison is my kids most vivid memory of her.I will miss her always and it is so hard to picture life without her in it. She was so loved and loved so well – an inspiration and a gift to anyone who knew her.
