Maxine Grace (Reasoner) Robison's Obituary
On June 25th 1923 God bestowed a gift upon two loving parents, Leo and Grace Reasoner, and brother Robert of Indianapolis, Indiana. Maxine Grace would, in the ensuing 95 years, touch the lives of countless others who would count her as God’s gift to their lives as well.A child of the Roaring 20s, an adolescent enduring the Great Depression, and a young adult who, along with her fellow Greatest Generation peers, carried the burdens and celebrated the victories of a world at war, Maxine’s gentle spirit belied the rich legacy she embodied. She became engaged to a daring young man poised to fight tyranny a half a world away. While Lt. Elmer Robison went off to war as a B-17 pilot, Maxine prayed at home for his safety. After the war they married on October 6th, 1945 and three years later he and Maxine started a family with Donna and later Rodney.Following twenty-three years in the Air Force, Elmer and Maxine launched a successful Real Estate career in Kokomo, Indiana and eventually moved themselves and their careers to Dallas, Texas to be near their grandkids.Following Elmer’s death in 2004 Maxine continued to fill her active life with family and friends over the next fourteen years.Maxine’s legacy will live on in the lives of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many dear friends and extended family members. She was the very embodiment of servanthood, love, and – in keeping with her middle name – grace. As she stepped over Heaven’s threshold on November 17th to meet her Savior, she was undoubtedly greeted with, “Well done good and faithful servant.”Maxine leaves behind children Donna Lamb and husband Bill and Rod Robison and wife Jeannie.Grandchildren Scot Lamb and wife Conni, Mark Lamb and wife Erin, Sarah Herrington and husband John, Jennifer Hanson and husband Devin, David Robison and wife BreAnne, Jordan Robison, Katelyn Robison, and Julia Robison.Great-grandchildren Scot Lamb Jr., Angie Lamb, Blake Malone, Will Lamb, Ryann Lamb, Liliana Mason, Jackson Herrington, Taylor Herrington, Mark Herrington, Weston Hanson, Isaac Hanson, Maverik Hanson, and Owen Robison.Funeral service will be held November 30, 2018, at 10:00 AM at Prestonwood Baptist Church Faith Chapel.Funeral arrangements have been faithfully entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Cemetery, which is located at 13005 Greenville Avenue, at the intersection of Restland Road and Greenville Avenue, Dallas, Texas 75243, and can be reached at (972)238-7111.
