Don, I am saddened to learn of Maxine's passing. You and she were my shining light of a happy, blessed couple and I think of you first when I remember Central Lutheran Church. My dear sweet Maxine! Oh, how we will miss you & your sweet smile here on earth; however, we know you are joyously dancing in Heaven! You have been such an important part of our neighborhood, book club, women's club, etc. It brings tears to my eyes to think we won't get to be with you, until we reunite in Heaven! I lovingly called Maxine (along with Don) the Strong Arm of Central Lutheran. Maxine was so adept at knowing our policies and procedures, and one of the sharpest women I have ever known. I liked to mess with her.. well, because she was MAXINE. Such a wonderful, knowledgeable and dear person who will be greatly missed. Who's going to help me with my room thermostat at Sunday School? Seriously, I am so sorry and I'm giving hugs to all of you. There's no doubt of her love for our church and Saviour and I look forward to catching up with her. That is IF I make it up there!
