Maxine Worley Smith's Obituary
On June 10, 2015, Maxine Worley Smith left her Dallas home for her final reward in Heaven. She was born to Will and Ethel Worley on June 6,1940 in Houston, TX. She moved with her family to Shreveport, La., graduated from Byrd H.S., and from LSU at Baton Rouge with a BBA and was a member of Delta Delta Delta Sorority. After graduation, she moved to Dallas where she met and married Don Smith. In 51 great years of marriage, they had two children, Curt and Sherry. Maxine was always busy volunteering with various community, school, and neighborhood organizations. She was also very involved in many church activities including the church council at Central Lutheran Church. She is survived by her husband, Don, her sister Margie Worley, her son and daughter in law Curt and Andrea Smith, and daughter and son in law Sherry and Tom Bryant, four grandchildren, Brandi and Blake Bryant, Reagan and Katie Smith, numerous nieces and nephews, family members and many friends. She wil be missed by all. The visitation for Maxine Smith will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Sunday, June 14, 2015 at Restland Memorial Chapel. A graveside service will be held on Monday, June 15, 2015 at 10:00 AM at Restland Memorial Park with a memorial service at 2:00 PM at Central Lutheran Church. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Central Lutheran Church Building Fund, 1000 Easton Rd., Dallas, TX, 75218.
