Our Dear Mel, So many memories of golf, birthday parties, retirement parties and the annual golf outing hosted by Charlie and Mary Darden at Hot Springs Village. We sure learned a lot about life from the life that you and Becky lived. KevIn and I didn't realize that our lunch at the little German restaurant would be our last with you, but it was a fitting goodbye to a buddy with whom we had shared so many good times on the golf course. Now that you have closed this chapter on your life, and ascended to the great golf course in the sky, you now can play from the Gold Tees. R.I.P. Melvin Roy Noack, passed away on Wednesday, December 23rd, 2015. Part of "The Greatest Generation". Excellent Husband and Father. Loved his God, his family, and his country. He did not need a "safe place", he created safe places and he was a safe place. He did not just live "The American Dream", he was The American Dream. We will always miss you. Society has to keep creating and building people just like you for its own good.

Mel had been a friend and golfing buddy since we first met on the golf course at Trophy Club almost 20 years ago. With Ron Gerkin, another golfing friend, we would usually head to a nearby restaurant after a round of golf. What great times we had?Mel loved the game as he loved life. I was three years younger than him and also had worked in the oil industry, so we had much in common and enjoyed reminiscing about common interests.
