Gone but not Forgotten.
It's been months now and a new ODAR in another state and I still think of Joyce when I arrive at work. I miss her smart aleck wit and her infectious laugh. I miss our conversations about her family, which usually included someone's successes at cooking or firefighting school, or one of the granchildren's antics. Joyce was one of the first to befriend me when I joined SSA and was always willing to help me or teach me something new. You'll always be in my heart, Joyce.
My condolences to your family Joyce was a wonderful person who always made you laugh, she loved her family dearly and she will be truly missed. It was a joy knowing her all these years. To the family be strong, she will always be with you. God Bless you and keep you.
Joyce was always full of great stories that showed how much she loved her family. She was proud of her great "kids," even the big ones. She was a wonderful coworker at SSA. Joyce was very comforting after I lost my mother last November. Now they can coordinate their great earring collections while singing together before God's throne. It is hard for those of us left behind, but I am confident that I will see Joyce again and she will be able to dance with joy on those streets paved with gold!
I love you and really miss you Nana
Our prayers are with the family Joyce loved so dearly. She talked about her family with so much pride and joy. She was my mentor at Dallas North for my first assignment as hearing Clerk. She was a good listener and wonderful friend up to the last time I emailed her. I am living in Oklahoma City now. Love and Prayers to all of you as you go through this time of loss…just know that "no one is "lost" if you know where they are." God Bless you all! Love and Prayers, Glenda
Joyce was my friend, my mentor and at times "Ma". I will miss her being there on the bad days listening to me moan and groan or on the good days laughing along with me. Joyce and I shared a journey neither one of us asked for. I hope I continue to fight my battle as bravely as she did. When I think of Joyce I will remember her smile, her wonderful deviled eggs and smothered chicken she brought to our luncheons and of course her knack for pairing earrings to every outfit and ANY occassion! Love Forever, Lisa
It has been truly a blessing and honor to have know Joyce. Joyce was a kind and witty person who doted on her family. When you have a problem Joyce was always there to lend a ear and give advice. I will miss you terribly Joyce, but I know you are an angel in heaven. To the family: My prayer to you is that God give you comfort and strength during this sad time.
May thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time. Joyce was one of the most wonderful people I had ever met. She was like a 2nd Mom to me and was always there to lend an ear or a shoulder to cry on. She always talked about the love she had for her "Rocky" and about the kids. I will miss her dearly.
