I went steady with Mike. Guys used to give a bracelet with their name on it and that meant you couldn't kiss anybody else at parties. You were a super nice person and a good kisser. Love ya, Teter
Mike was one of the most genuine, friendly, good-natured, polite, hard-working people I’ve ever known. He loved his family! He was married to my sis, Keri & I’ve known him for 37 years. Mike was like a brother to me & was there for me whenever I needed him. He treated me like a sister & would do anything for my Mother, Ann. I can’t imagine our world without him in it. I look forward to seeing him again with our Heavenly Father one day. We miss you immensely Mike, & love you always.
To let people know a “fun” thing about Mike...He taught me how to “disco” dance in the 70’s & took me dancing with him & Keri. He took me on my first motorcycle ride!
He cooked the best barbecue ribs & loved having family over for a cook-out.
The thing I really enjoyed the most about Mike was that he loved Jesus. We could talk about the Lord for a long time. I loved the fact that Mike & Keri raised their kids in church & knowing the Lord.
Sometimes, we don’t know how much we really loved someone til they’re gone. Mike’s passing has taught me to love more & to love deeper.
We had the privilege of growing up next door to the Hortons and spending lots of time with the family. I remember being over at their house to have dinner and play games all the time and mike always being happy to have me there and spend time hanging out with us. I also remember playing a lot of sports with him like soccer and baseball. He was always a great coach and would help us out with learning the sport. We also had lots of fun making pizzas when he had the pizza shop, those were the best pizzas i ever had :) I will miss him dearly but know he is with the good lord on the other side. We love you all and pray for comfort during this tough time.
I had the privilege of serving Mike's Sunday School teacher at First Baptist Dallas for the past few months. I really enjoyed having Mike in the class. Mike asked deep and thought provoking questions and had a hunger to deepen his faith in Jesus Christ. Mike also cared for others and participated in many service activities the class did. It was a great blessing having Mike in the class and he will be greatly missed. My deepest sympathies to the Horton family for your loss.

Deepest sympathy to the family of Michael Horton from his Alabama Cousins. You are in our thoughts and prayers at this time. We have many fond memories of your father, grandfather, uncle when he visited with his parents in his younger days. May God place his loving arms around you and give you peace and comfort at this trying time.
