Coach Hudspeth was my 8th grade math teacher back in the late 70's. I was weak in math but he would arrive early to work to tutor anybody who wished to come in and get help. With his kindness and patience I was able to strengthen my math skills to the point that at year's end I had earned a certificate for Most Improved in Mathematics. Another great memory was the time they had an Elvis impersonator perform a concert for us in the gym. Coach Hudspeth got on stage and sang the chorus for Hound Dog. He was a hit! He was one of the most kind and caring human beings I've ever known. We are blessed to have a few people like him in this world. May God rest his soul give peace and comfort to all of his loved ones.
