Mrs. Michelle Lynn Tatum's Obituary
In Loving Memory of Michelle Lynn Healy Tatum, 1974 – 2024.
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Michelle Lynn Healy Tatum on March 20, 2024. We are all devastated by the loss of this beautiful and multi-talented soul. She leaves behind a legacy of love, unwavering friendship to all she knew, a unique approach to living life to the fullest and an unmatched desire for fishing.
Michelle was born in Sleepy Hollow, NY to Bill and Cheryl Healy. Maybe this is one of the reasons for her incredible uniqueness. She attended Comsewogue High School in Port Jefferson Station, NY and remained an avid Warrior to the end. She then attended Suffolk County Community College before moving to New York City in 1994 to tackle the Big Apple. She later settled in New Mexico and Dallas, Texas but always remained a die-hard New Yorker loving her Yankees, Rangers and Giants like no other.
In her 50 years, Michelle accumulated countless cherished memories with the loved ones in her life, and there were many. Whether it was family gatherings or friend get togethers, she filled the room and moment with great food, conversation and laughter. She embraced every experience with an open heart. Her capacity for love knew no bounds, and those she cared for felt truly valued and cherished. Michelle was absolutely the best mate and friend one could have. She also loved her puppies to no end, most recently Baby Dallas, Fravie Austin, Ripley Marsano and Oliver Twist.
Michelle was not only a beautiful heart, she was very talented as well. She had an extreme love for cooking and her dishes were legendary. She was also gifted musically as she played the piano, sang, and often composed her own music. Perhaps her greatest talent however was her sense of style. Who else could combine clothing pieces as she did and actually pull it off? And as we know, a unique hat and large glasses were often associated with the outfit. Michelle was the consummate female yet a huge tomboy as well. Those who were closest to her knew of her love for fishing. She was quite cocky in her abilities, often stating how she could out fish most men - and this happened many times. She truly loved fishing to the point of starting her own line of clothing for women, GF2, “Girls Fish Too”.
Michelle will be dearly missed by all of her family and friends. Though she may no longer be with us in body, her magical spirit will live on in the countless lives she touched and the unforgettable memories she created. Her passing leaves a void that can never be filled, but her love will continue to guide and inspire those of us who were lucky enough to know her. She made our lives and the world a better place with her presence.
Michelle is survived by her parents Bill Healy and Cheryl Scarp, her husband Art Tatum, her sister Shannon Pascuzzi and husband Tom with their children Nicholas, Andrew and Matthew, several Brothers and Sister-in-laws and their children and grandchildren.
Please join family and friends for her memorial service and celebration on April 13, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Restland Funeral Home, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, Texas 75243. In lieu of flowers, you may donate to German Sheperd Rescue of Texas gsrtx.org or the charity of your choice.
