Mike Ynostrosa's Obituary
Mike Ynostrosa was called home suddenly on Tuesday, August 18, 2015 in Dallas, TX. Mike was born on May 5, 1937 in Big Valley, TX (Mills County) to Jose & Esther Ynostrosa. He attended Goldthwaite schools and served in the United States Army in the 1960’s. Upon returning from serving his country, he met and courted his later to be wife, Connie. They married on May 13, 1967 and soon moved to Dallas, Texas. Mike established himself as a barber in Dallas and opened his own barber shop, Meadow Park Barbers. There, he would spend the next 40+ years working each day in that very same shop. Through Meadow Park, Mike forged and nurtured relationships that lasted his entire life and further. Mike was more than just his customer’s barber. He was their friend. Upon a visit you would always be greeted with a smile, a joke and even some gospel singing! You were guaranteed to leave a lot better than when you arrived. Mike was an active member of his church, North Dallas Family Church, serving on the Praise Team for many years and also as chief Barbeque chef for many a church cookout. His greatest desire was to share the good news of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ with all that would listen. Probably Mike’s greatest passion was music. Mike served at countless churches throughout the years and lead praise and worship at hundreds and maybe thousands of church services. Mike also served many years with the Morales Brothers group that toured and performed throughout the Southwest. There were also all of the good times singing and recording in the living room at “6474” as well as all of the big birthday celebrations in the backyard. Mike’s greatest passion was probably music, but his greatest love was his family. He helped raise 5 boys along with Connie Ynostrosa, the love of his life and wife of 48yrs. He was a Godly example to his sons and his legacy of faith will continue through future generations.
