Aunt Minka was a strong woman as I was a child. Raised her kids by herself, always had time for her niece! That’s me! My mother was her oldest sister. She lived 5 houses down the street from us. When I was having my first born. She helped me shop and set up my daughters room along with mom. We had such fun times together! She was the best Aunt! Thank God I had a chance to talk with her a couple of weeks ago. It was like old times! Love you aunt minka. Kisses to heaven. Give hugs to my mom, aunt Judy and uncle Terry!
Minka‘s favorite place for us to go was the super Walmart. She loved to buy groceries there, but she refused to make a list before we went. She insisted upon going up and down every single grocery aisle! On one trip I had been given my marching orders by Leslie and I was to watch what Minka bought. So we started going up and down the aisles and there happened to be another man shopping that was on every aisle that we were on. Minka would reach for an item on the shelf and I would say Leslie said no at which time Minka would start arguing with me like a two year-old. Anyway, this continued on every single aisle we went down and people were looking at us, and the man was watching us closely. The man checked out at the same time we did. As we turned to go out of Walmart, the man looked at both of us smiled and said you ladies have a nice day! Minka and I just looked at each other and just died laughing! Such a Minka adventure!
