Mrs Hightower was what’s my high school English teacher at Booie Washington high school Tulsa, Oklahoma when I graduated I went to Langston and who was there Mrs. Hightower. She was a classy lady. I just found out that she passed at the memorial service for Delta Sigma Theta to 57th conference rest well, Miss Hightower.
Dr. Hightower was my high school English teacher at the Business and Management Center (BMC). She always made a stretch in our delivery of communication and were a choice. When someone was in trouble, I always remember her saying “consider yourself vituperated.” And the most eloquent of voices. She was a classy, intelligent and educated beyond our time. She made me love words and poetry. She has left an indelible mark on my life, and I’m sure of many others.She will be missed.
Myrtle Hightower was a foreword thinking Community leader, and a Savvy business woman, who took it upon herself to build a business in rebuilding the community through believing in people and the human spirit.
I worked with her at Plano Community Charity, a retail center dedicated to rehabilitation in Texas.

We can only support the accolades that have been given in memory of Dr. Myrtle Hightower. She was a teacher, counselor and mentor to so many in and out of the classroom. She enhanced the lives of so many by her input on so many boards and committees. We salute her memory and devotion. Plano Retired Teachers Association
Dr. Hightower, was always mom to me and my family. She was always at the head of the table in the Hicks home. We will miss her place at the table, RIP mom. I got you always 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
