I was very fortunate to know Mrs. Short for a "short time". She drove a little "blue car" and had the prettiest white hair. I know for sure her granddaughter Susie will be lost without her!!! They talked several times and day and always went to lunch on Thursday to have "butter beans" at the Tops Cafe in Wynnewood Shopping Center. They also went to Tachito's, the Mexican chicken place on Hampton to have tortilla soup (a grandma favorite), and many other places that "Grandma" loved. She was a very independant person up to the last few weeks of her life. I will never forget the day I took her some beautiful roses and her speech therapist was at her home. I said, "Mamaw you have always been so independant and I know you don't like what is happening….and if I were you I would be "pee-od"……and she followed up very quickly with….."YES I AM". The Lord new she would not like anything less so he whisked her off where she will be whole again waiting on all the loved ones to join her. "For God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son. God gave his Son so that every person that believes in him would not be lost, but have life forever"..John:3-16. Make sure today that you will see Mrs. Short and spend eternity with her.
