Nancy Helen DeWeese's Obituary
Nancy DeWeese passed away on June 26, 2016 following a lengthy illness. A long time Dallas County resident. Nancy grew up in Oak Cliff and graduated from Sunset High School in 1963. She retired from Southwestern Medical School were she worked as an assistant to the Chairman of the Psychiatry Department. Nancy was an avid reader, and before her illness she participated in Sunset High School reunions and enjoyed a variety of activities including traveling and push dancing where she competed in numerous local as well as regional competitions. Nancy is survived by her husband, Jack S. DeWeese of Cedar Hill, Texas, who provided loving care throughout her lengthy confinement, a son, D. K. Whitter; daughter in law, Vicki Whitter and granddaughters, Alex Whitter and Rose Marie Whitter of St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands; a niece Lisa Long of Brewster, New York; step sons, Kirk DeWeese of Midlothian,Texas, and Scott DeWeese; step-daughter-in-law, Laura DeWeese; a step-grand son, Kevin DeWeese and a step- grand daughter, Julia DeWeese, all of St. Louis, Missouri. The visitation for Nancy DeWeese will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Friday, July 1, 2016 at Restland Funeral Home. The service for Nancy will be held at 3:00 PM, Saturday, July 2, 2016 in The Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, TX 75243.
