Kent, Esther, Kurt, Keri and family….. My heart grieves with yours. So thankful to have known "Nana" as a child and thankful to have seen her a few times in adulthood. My heart always lit up when I got a chance to visit with her, no matter how short it may be. What an incredible woman she was! She will always leave an impression with me… and so many others. Lifting you all in prayer during this time and in the days to come.
Mrs. Turner was a wonderful and kind woman with a great sense of humor and quick laugh. I was in her first class at Bussey Jr High when she started to teach. She made every student feel special. All of us cried as we left her class the last day of school. We were like a family. She cried right along with us as we hugged her when we walked out of the door. She loved her boys and talked about them in class with great affection. Truly, a gentle woman with a big heart. You gave so much.. Thank you and may you RIP and may your family be comforted in this time.
I am truly saddened hearing that Mrs Turner has passed. She was one of my teachers at Bussey Jr High. She was also a second mother to me and a whole bunch of neighborhood kids in the day. A terrific person and loving mother. Kent, Kyle and to all your loved ones, my heart goes out to all of you.
I had Mrs. Turner for seventh grade history. She was wonderful. She taught us about Garland history during the class, and I still recall much of what she said. Her son, Kyle, did our lawn for many years. We lived a couple of streets over. She was a great lady.
I am so sorry to hear the passing of Mrs Turner. She was a second mother to me and all the neighborhood kids that seem to gather at Kent's house to play. I had her in the seventh grade at Bussey for Texas History. I will always remember her. I wish Kent, Kyle and all the families the best. I am truly sorry that such a wonderful women has passed.
I was deeply saddened to hear that Mrs Turner had passed. She was and will always be a wonderful person that I will never forget. She was a second mother to me and all of us neighborhood kids that always played together growing up. She was also one of my 7th grade teachers at Bussey Jr High way back in the day. Kent, Kyle and to all your families, I am truly sorry for the loss of your mother and just to let you know, she is one person who made an impact on my life and her memory will live on forever inside of me.
I remember so much about Mrs. Turner's 7th grade Texas History class, namely the Garland history unit she taught. Most importantly, I remember looking forward to going to her class every day. She loved her job and her students, and we knew it. As a teacher, I want my students to feel the same. She was an inspiration to me.
