It has been a year since Nelda has been gone and we still think of her and all the happy times we shared with her and Bill. The memorial service was exceptional just as she was. Nan, Kurt, and Leslie shared so beautifully and meaningfully their feelings with all of us there. How proud she must have been to hear their wonderful words about her. She definitely lives on in our hearts and memories of her. What a special lady and a great family left behind. Love to all of you, John and Sherry Hanna

Bill, Mother, (Dottie Dacus) has shared so many fun memories of you and your Nellie. We are so sorry for your loss. We know you cherish the lifetime of memories, experiences and adventures that you two shared. Mother always loved getting to be a part of the "bridge group" parties, super bowl parties, holiday parties and any other excuse for a party! Please know we are thinking about you and your precious family and keeping you in our prayers. Sally Dacus Baskey

When I saw Nelda Neale's obituary in the Dallas Morning News, I knew she and Bill must be the dear friends of my parents, Anne and James D. Eppright. I recall, I believe, that Nelda and Bill may have been part of the Eppright wedding at Prosper Presbyterian Church in 1946 in the unrelenting heat of July 27. I believe my mom and Nelda were sorority sisters at North Texas. I am glad to learn that Bill is living, and I would welcome news of him to share with my brother, Jim Eppright. With sincere condolences, Linda Anne Eppright Foos lfoos@sbcglobal.net

Dear Uncle Bill, Nan, Kurt, and Leslie, I've thought of you all so often recently as I know what a sad time this is. While I haven't seen Aunt Ninny in many years, I have warm, appreciative memories not only of her Texas hospitality, but also of her special visits to see us in New York. No doubt everyone who knew Nelda has a good story to tell, so I'll get in line. She was with me (cheerfully egging on the situation) the most hilarious and embarrassing moment of my life!!! — when my 18-month-old daughter loudly came close, only close, to naming the fox she saw accompanying my mom (Nelda's sister-in-law Ruby) on a school stage! I've survived just fine, as has the memory of Ninny being one super-cool aunt. In subsequent years, when she'd call me to say "Hi, Sugar, this is Aunt Ninny," I knew I was in for a treat. No one could ever replace this woman and I feel lucky to have known her and Bill and shared many travel / car / event memories. The world suffered a loss with the passing of Nelda and she leaves behind a legacy that will go unmatched. Best wishes to Bill.
Bill, I am very sad to learn of Nelda's passing. Please know that our prayers are with you and the family and that we share in the loss of such a wonderful lady. Steve and Sally Wendt
