Hey Deborah..i am Susan Cantrell..One of the volunteers from Lifepoint Church that sponsored the weekly domino games at Hawkins….I remember the first time I met your mom there, and how we made an instant connection, She shared stories about your dad and how they met,,his POW experiences and how she nurtured him back to health when he came home after the war…Her stories fascinated me, and I remember crying right along with her..Evidently they had a wonderful love that withstood many trials..Im sure she was ready to go home and be reunited with him.. I'm sorry that I missed the annoucement of her passing.. Connie was told that she had transferred to another nursing home, and we were planning on going to see her yesterday ..Sadly we learned that she had passed on..Please know you are in my prayers I know you must miss her, and you were a very devoted daughter…She touched a place in my heart for sure..
