Nell Halbrook's Obituary
Mrs. Halbook passed away on January 26 in Longview, TX. She was born August 6, 1921 in Dallas, TX to William J. and Annie Lee Sloan. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Howard Sloan; daughter-in-law, Gail Halbrook, and her beloved husband of 64 years, Alton Halbrook. Her survivors include son, William A. Halbrook of Lewisville, TX; daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Jimmy Jackson of Longview; grandchildren, Christina and husband, Chris Ziegenbein of Dallas, TX, James Matthew Jackson of Washington D.C., and Amy Jackson Jenson of Longview, TX. She is also survived by brothers, William J. Sloan Jr. of Dallas, Raymond Earl Sloan and wife, Nancy of Rockwall, TX, as well as by numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Services for Nell Sloan Halbrook will be held at 10 a.m. on January 30, 2015 in Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home in Dallas. Burial will follow at Restland. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials or donations be made to Fisher House Dallas VA Medical.
