Neva was a great neighbor and always there for questions after my mom passed. She was missed dearly when she moved. Her daughter and son were her angels. Will be missed and loved forever.

I played basketball at SMU from 1977 - 1981 and got to know Neva and her family during that time. I remember so well her Thanksgiving dinners for the players who could not get home because of practice and games. God puts angels in our lives and sometimes we miss it, but with Neva you knew she was an angel walking amongst us. Over the years from when I played to when she retired from SMU we had many conversations and my life is better for having known her. She was a blessing and an inspiration to all of us that played basketball at SMU while she was there. My condolences to Kim, Greg and their families.

Neva you are missed but we were so glad we got to see you Christmas Eve. Kim & Greg you were the best during these last couple years. We remember all the laughs & good times we had with this dear sweet friend who was a big part of our family. Her cooking topped it all...thanks Neva for all you did for us. . Greg, God answered our prayers when he gave us you. Bob & I love you all and are praying for you during this sad time.

I will always love Neva Young as a second mother. My days at SMU, separated from. My family in another country, were softened by the generous love and hospitality of the Young family. Neva made the best Sunday lunches after church. Roast, rice & gravy, fried zucchini were some of my favorites. Her laugh was contagious. Kim, Neva, and I would spend hours painting on beautiful ceramic nativities. I still have mine to this day. Neva Young was one of the best examples I know of living and loving like Jesus Christ. My life was forever shaped by her example of godliness.
