I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I grew up aroumd Pat, and I loved her dearly. She really kept me connected to my Dad after he passed. She loved me and belived in me. Even when I couldnt. Pat "PattiAnn" and I were the closest of friends, confidantes, sounding boards and sisters-at-heart when we were raising our children. She remained in my heart even though circumstances seperated us physically. She will remain there until we are joined again in our Heavenly Home. The rich legacy she leaves in you children, whom she loved and cherished will all her heart, is a compliment to that devotion and will live on. I was so sorry to hear about Pat's passing. I knew Pat for as long as I can remember. I grew up with her grandaughter Jennifer and worked with her at Hill Dry Goods. I loved her dearly. My thoughts and prayers are with all the family.
Pat is mother to my longtime best friend, Linda. Growing up next door to the Rea family, Pat was my "mother next door". I'll always remember Pat insisting that Linda and I wear our panties (clean of course) on our heads at night so we wouldn't catch cold! You've gotta love that memory! Pat left a big void in my heart and the hearts of many more when she moved from Lake Whitney last year. I'll always treasure the times we had together. Sometimes we laughed and sometimes we cried, but we always remained friends. We had a mutual love for cats and spent lots of time talking about her Josie Lane cat. We had a special table at Tres Hermanos where you'd usually find us on the week-ends sharing our week's experiences. I wasn't ready for her to make her journey to Heaven, but I know she is happy there. She'll always have a place in my heart. Bettye Peterson
I met Pat through my sister, Bettye Peterson, and enjoyed our friendship while she lived in Whitney. She was a lover of the arts, and especially the theatre. My grandson, Christopher Eastland, was a major in theatre at Baylor and she was a big fan of his, so naturally we had many things to share concerning his career. Pat was a lovely person and I shall miss her and I know Christopher will, also.
It's a time like this when I wish so much we would have stayed in closer touch. But I am so grateful for the special relationship that we had. You were my rock for so long and helped me get to the place I needed to be. Dean and I both look at your picture and can just hear you talking to us. It meant so much to me to able to be there for you also…especially those wake up calls before the sun came up when you couldn't sleep and just needed someone to talk to. I will always remember you as a most loving, caring, and accepting person. God is truly lucky to have you. I love you and will miss you.
