Patsy Price Hammett February 22, 1933 — September 5, 2020
Patsy Price Hammett went to he with the Lord on September 5, 2020. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Hunter Hammett, and pre-deceased by a brother Paul. She is survived by a brother Charles and sister-in laws, Juanita Cade Price and Barbara Price. She is survived by three children, Joel Todd, Lydia Ochelle Finch (Gary Finch), and Glenn Mark, seven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
Patsy graduated from Tyler High School in 1950, Blue Mountain College with a BS degree in 1954, and did studies at Soochow University in Taipei, Taiwan in 1985, completing a MA degree in Chinese Literature. She and her husband, Hunter, were Southern Baptist missionaries to Taiwan for 35 years. They retired to Plano, TX in 1993. They have been members of The Heights Baptist Church.
There will be an open casket visitation at Restland Funeral Home, 13005 Greenville Ave., Dallas TX 75243, located at the corner of Greenville Ave. and Restland Rd. from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm on September 10, 2020. All are invited.
There will be a graveside service and burial in Tyler, TX at Rose Hill Cemetery off South Broadway, 2400 S. Donnybrook Ave. at 1:00 pm on September 11, 2020. All are invited. Monetary donations may be made to the funeral directors and clergy assisting at the graveside service.
