Pauline Wittkower's Obituary
Pauline K. Wittkower, lifelong native of Dallas, Texas was born on June 11, 1919 and passed away on August 31, 2014. Married March 14, 1942 to Lt. Col. Louis David Wittkower, Jr,(Ret) her high school sweetheart, celebrated their 70th anniversary. She was a graduate of Forest Ave High School where she was high school class queen. Survived by children Louis III, Patricia Golkar, Robert and Michael and 8 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren and other family. Preceded in death by parents, Henry Clay King and Minnie Mae Mangels King; brothers, Hubert King, Herman King; and sister, Everett King. Member of White Rock Methodist Church since 1942. Pauline was a loving mother, homemaker, and devoted wife. She received an SMU scholarship for piano studies. She was a member of the Order of Rainbow Girls. Louis and Pauline were members of The Retired Officers Association and Second Division Association. The visitation for Pauline’s family will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Thursday, September 4, 2014 at Restland Funeral Home. The funeral service for Pauline will be at 8:45 AM on Friday, September 5, 2014 in The Memorial Chapel at Restland Funeral Home. Pauline’s interment will be at 11:00 AM on Friday at DFW National Cemetery.
