Peggy Jo Rogers' Obituary
Peggy Jo Samford Rogers was born on October 20, 1939 in Mckinney, Texas and passed away at home October 7, 2014 in Dallas, Texas. She graduated from W.W. Samuell High School and worked as a bookkeeper most of her life. She absolutely loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her favorite things were football, riding motorcycles, laughing, rock and roll, sunshine, flowers, rescuing kitties, peotry, the color purple, and reading. All who knew Peggy found her to be loving, nuturing, independent, funny, and free-spirited. Preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Connie Samford; father of her children, Jerry Lavon Rogers, and best friend, Barbara Hughes Howard. Peggy is survived by her daughter, Vicky Rogers Chadwick of Anna, Texas; son, Brian Keith Rogers of Klondike, Texas; sister, Rita Wright of San Antonio, Texas; brother, Ben Samford of Plano, Texas; grandchildren, Katy Jo Mayo of Anna, Texas, Molly Eva Chadwick of Anna, Texas; great-grandchildren, Triston Dean of Anna, and Madyson Jo Evans of Anna, Texas, and nieces and nephews. Special family, Nora Rogers, Kathy Howard Crisp,Kelly Howard Fagan, James Mayo, Emily Mayo Hoppers, and her faithful feline friends, Mr. Whiskers, Little Bit, Little Mister, and Sparkles.
