WOW my sweet friend I will never forget, we had some of the best conversations. Which has taken me up another level and I thank her for that. The first day I meet her she was floating in our hallway, she said now if you need me I will be right out here. I said yes ma’am, than I looked outside the door she had pull her chair up, popped opening her drink, took out her book and propped up her legs on the Ottoman and was relaxed, I just laughed and said when I grow up I want to be just like you. We smile and gave each other a hug. So I started calling her our school queen 🫅 so when we will pass each other I will say do your wave 👋 and she would and we would just laugh and hug. Now 2 weeks ago she came to work and the room from the night before, where they have the 2 year old music 🎼 class was a not put back in place. So she came walking down that hallway and a fast pace to get me and telling me the issues. I said yes ma’am I will make sure next Wednesday it’s all together correct ma’am so we proceed to get the classroom together for the before care. We talked and I said Lord Ms.Prudy you had me scared lol and we gave each other a hug and she said you know I love you and I said I love you to but it was like my mama and I was in BIG TROUBLE. So the next week I went down to let them know to put the classroom back in order because I got in to trouble with my Ms.Prudy and that is a no no. So that did and the following week I went again to make sure we were all on the same page to put things back together for my Ms.Prudy and they was like we took pictures with our phone ☎️ to make sure I was like ok and thank you for the teamwork. I didn’t see the young lady until Sunday she was like we did a good job right! I don't want you into any trouble, I tear up and said you did such a good job she went to heaven that night. But on my phone Ms.Prudy last text to me was I LOVE YOU. I will not delete it I will keep it until we meet again, sending LOVE to our school queen, AMEN. With my birthday coming up as well as her birthday coming soon, will be a tough journey. She would always have something for me all ready in my classroom before I get there with a special note 📝 on it, my sweet gifts I will always treasure, loving and missing my sweet school ANGEL 😇 who I know will always watch over me and I thank our GOD for putting her in my life, Amen. Words cannot describe the sadness at the loss of such a wonderful and loving person - not just a co-worker these last few years at PCBC Day School. I will forever remember her warmth, her chats with me, her concern for my family, and her hard work. Always dependable when I needed her to help in the kitchen and fix those wonderful snacks for the preschool. I will miss her but I do look forward to the day I will see her again because of our faith in Jesus Christ. Hilda Alcerreca
Prudy was a faithful member of the Christian Singles Unlimited Sunday School Class for many years. On the first Easter after she had lost both parents, she invited several of us to her house for dinner, an expression of hospitality we greatly appreciated. She joined us on many trips, including to Big Bend National Park, upstate New York and the outdoor musical "Texas." Her Christian faith was apparent to all. My deepest sympathy to all her family.
It has been such a blessing to have Prudy on our staff at the PCBC Day School. She was a treasured friend and colleague. Prudy was a prize of an employee. Every task given she did with such care and attention. She gladly jumped in and took care of anything we needed her to do. She was truly such a dependable person. The children and staff alike loved her. She will be greatly missed. But, we know that because of the faith we share in Jesus Christ, we will see her again one day. Nickie Bartlett
