Prudence Ann Garland's Obituary
Was born December 23, 1945 in Longview, TX. In her youth, she enjoyed weekending in a lakeside home, graduated from Longview High School, and attended Stephen F Austin college. She married Larry Garland, raised two sons, and worked in the banking industry for many years in operations. One of her favorite jobs was that of Cashier at First Bank in Richardson, Texas.
Many weekends were spent lakeside in Longview before her parents sold that home and they and Prudy bought a home together in north Garland TX. After retirement she enjoyed traveling to many wonderful places where she and her friends would just explore, laugh, and enjoy great food. She loved entertaining friends in her home, especially on holidays.
Prudy was a longtime active member at First United Methodist Garland, volunteering frequently. Most recently she worked part time at Park Cities Baptist Church Dayschool with toddlers who were instantly comforted by her.
Prudy enjoyed reading mystery novels, watching her favorite shows on Britbox, eating out with friends, and spending time with family. She will be missed, but we are confident she is in the presence of the Lord.
Prudy is survived by her son Bart Garland of Richardson TX, her son Stacy Garland and his wife Michelle of Coppell, TX, grandchildren Jamie, Kyle, and Brooks Garland; great grandchildren Ava, Andrew, and Alexandria.
