Biggie (many of you knew him as Rick, but he's always been Biggie to me) was a good friend for over a decade. He had his quirks and foibles, but ….. he LOVED his family (mom Mildred, son Ricky, daughter Jill and grandchildren Audrey and Ace, and of course Bruce and Judy and family); he went out of his way to remain in touch with so many friends he grew to know throughout his education, career and retirement; he actively promoted and worked tirelessly for Camp Grady Spruce; he supported and helped me with animal rescue, including acting as godfather to my greyhound Bryce; and was loyal and active in his church group. Any and all of these things make his passage here on earth something joyous and worthy of respect. Thank you for your friendship. Godspeed, Biggie.

Rick was a caring wonderful gentleman. We really enjoyed his stories and his smile at Sevy's on Monday nights. He will be missed! Prayers for all of you. Debbie Murray
I met Rick in the 3rd grade at Walnut Hill Elementary School. We also knew one another from Cary Middle School and Thomas Jefferson High School. Rick was a funny guy who always made me smile. Rick played an important role in TJ's 50th Reunion — in charge of golfing event. He was a valuable committee member and it was great working with him. I was one of the fortunate ones to have lived close to Rick and able to visit him during the past several months. He had the best attitude despite his illness. I always left feeling good due to his welcoming way. He would always show me pictures of his family which made his day and so grateful for all the cards he received from his TJ classmates. I will miss him dearly. Janet Yates
I met Rick in 1969 when I was working for the J R Handy Insurance Agency in Denison, TX. He was our Commercial Union Insurances Company representative, but he became a very good friend and we were able to keep in touch through the years. He was always at all of our big events at the Agency. He was there for me when I celebrated my 25 year anniversary. The name changed to David Bayless Inc. dba Bayless-Hall Insurance. He was there for me when I retired after 40 years with the Bayless family. He was a very special person and I know he loved his family. He will be missed. Jeri Jones
Recalling Rick– Whenever I talked to Rick it was mostly at Sunday School. His mood was always exceedingly calm and deliberate. I often hold up Rick's demeanor as an example of the Peace of Christ. John 14:27 "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid." Bob Cooper (member of Rick's Sunday School Class)
My sincere condolences to Rich's family. I worked with Rich at Commercial Union/1 Beacon and was from the Ruston, LA office. Rich was always a professional at work and a joy to speak with away from work. May God rest his soul. Gary Turner
Our most heartfelt and sincere condolences. Yvonne, Bill, Rick, and Wendy Lowerre.
