Richard Lyn Cofer's Obituary
Born January 8, 1945 in Ft. Pierce, Florida to Lyn and Mildred Cofer and passed away October 24, 2015 in Dallas, Texas. Richard was a graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School in Dallas, Texas and Southern Methodist University. He was a longtime insurance industry executive who worked for Commercial Union Insurance from 1969 to 2003. He was an active Christian at Park Cities Baptist Church. His passions included golf, animal rescue and his family. Richard was especially committed to YMCA Camp Grady Spruce, having been a camper, counselor and board member. Family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm on Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral Service for Richard will take place at 12:30 pm on Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at The Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243.
