Richard K. South's Obituary
On Tuesday, July 30, 2019, Richard K. South, loving husband and father of three children, passed peacefully away at the age of 62. Rick was born on April 12, 1957 in Pittsburgh, PA to Richard and Opal South, who preceded him in death, where he grew up in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was also preceded in death by John L. Quigley Jr., father in law, who loved him like a son.He is survived by his wife, Shannon South, and their three children, Tyler, Jackson, and Shyanne. He was brother to John (Mary) South, Sandra South (Robert) Jones, and Michael (Robin) South. He was a loving son-in-law to Jacki Quigley. He had several nieces and nephews, John South, Jr., Brian South, Michelle Gunn, Libby South and Zachary South.He served as a U.S. Marine; worked in the information technology/network communications field with Fujitsu, SUN Microsystems, and currently as Senior Field Manager with Oracle Global Systems Support.His love of family is only matched by his quick wit, infectious sense of humor, and his kind and compassionate spirit. His love was unselfish with unwavering service towards his family and friends. He will be missed by all who knew him.A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 5, 2019 at 10:00 AM, in Restlands’ Wildwood Chapel 13005 Greenville Ave, Dallas, TX 75243 (enter from Restland Rd at the intersection of S.
