Richard Kemper Zercher's Obituary
Mr. Zercher lived most of his life in Dallas,TX relocating to Temple after retiring. He graduated from Sunset High School in Dallas and attended SMU. He worked for Southwestern Life Insurance in Dallas for 30 years and worked in accounting at Scott and White,Temple until age 82. He was in th U.S Navy .Richard was a 32nd degree Mason and member of Hella Temple. He was a past Master, and Life Endowed member of the Grand Lodge of Texas , Oak Cliff 705. He was a member of Hampton Place Baptist Church in Dallas,TX. He enjoyed music and played guitar and clarinet. He was married to the love of his life,Laura for 64 years. He will remembered as a kind and loving man who cherished his family and loved God. He will be missed by all who knew him. Preceded in death by Son, Stephen William Zercher,; Brother, David A. Zercher and parents, Mr. & Mrs. A.K Zercher. Richard is survived by wife, Laura Bell Zercher; daughter, JoAnna Zercher Langthorn; son, Richard K. Zercher Jr; Five grandchildrend and five great grandchildren. Family will receive friends on Saturday, September 10, 2016 from 2:30PM – 3:00PM in The Abbey Chapel at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral Services at 3:00PM in The Abbey Chapel at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243.
