Bobby O, as we referred to him, attended our Bible study for adults with special needs for 10 years. His presence was such a source of joy for all of us! He was up for anything, and made us laugh constantly. His Cruella de Vil costume was legendary. But the thing we missed most when he moved to assisted living was his exuberant singing of his favorite song: I'll Fly Away. He didn't know all the words but that didn't slow him down at all! And at the end of the song (every single time) he would look at me and say "you're gonna sing that at my funeral". He knew where he was going at the end of his life, and I have no doubt he is singing with Jesus now -- perhaps a new song called "I Flew Away".
