Robert McReynolds Golladay II's Obituary
Robert Golladay II, 77, of Murphy, passed away on April 18, 2021 in Richardson Tx. He was born on February 6, 1944 to Robert and Ruth Golladay in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Robert was a graduate of Willis Point High School in 1961. He pursued a Bachelors of Math degree at The University of North Texas and went on to receive his Masters of Computer Science at Texas A&M University in 1967. Robert began his career September 1, 1967 as a Professor of Business Computer information Systems with The University of North Texas. He retired after 38 years of service. After retirement he always stayed busy by continuing his love for computers and technology. Robert was a loving man that enjoyed spending time with his family.
He is survived by his sons, Robert Golladay, III and wife Tracy of Murphy, Texas, Rodney Turner and wife Julie Tran-Turner of Carbondale, Colorado; sister, Nancy Golladay and husband David Russell Congdon or Brooklyn, New York; grandchildren, Allison and husband Jared Fowler of Josephine, Texas, Britney Golladay of Murphy, Texas, and Jacob Golladay of Murphy, Texas.
Services for Robert will be 11:00 am Friday, April 23, 2021 at Lake Pointe Church - Firewheel Campus. There will be a time of visitation Thursday afternoon from 4:00 until 6:00 pm at Restland Funeral Home.
