Robert Ramsey Harper Jr.'s Obituary
Robert R. "Bob" Harper Jr., 88, of Dallas, Texas, passed away on May 30, 2025, in Tyler, Texas.
Services will be held Saturday, June 7, with visitation beginning at 1 pm followed by a Graveside service at 2 pm at Restland Funeral Home.
He was born and raised in Dallas and was a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School and Southern Methodist University and a Charter member of Canyon Creek Presbyterian Church in Richardson.
He found his calling as salesman early and eventually rose to VP of Sales and Marketing for Fox & Jacobs, where he worked for 29 years.
A lifelong sportsman and avid hunter, he traveled the world with his wife in search of big game trophies. Bob founded Outdoor Visions, an early internet retailer of worldwide hunting videos and books.
Preceded in death by son Rob and beloved wife Betty Bob, he is survived by daughter and son in-law Patricia and Jonathan Van Voorhees, daughter in-law Caryn Harper, grandchildren Will, Jordan, JP, Daniel, Mackinzie and their spouses, and seven great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to Operation Game Thief, or the Texas Ranger Association Foundation.
