Robert was an amazing man to our family. We will miss you tremendously. We are so blessed with all our memories with you. We love you always❤️❤️❤️
In 1979, Robert "Mr. Robert" Huggins moved into the house behind Suzanne and I. Our youngest, Brad was almost 10 months old. For the next 41 years, Mr. Robert and Kathy until she died in 2005 became family to our three sons, Brad, Casey, and Cody. We learned very quickly that Robert wasn't gifted with handyman chores so we mowed his yard, installed his sprinkler, roofed the house, built the fence and quite honestly, fixed everything that went wrong. We took vacations together to Las Vegas. We always knew when Robert won but his commanding voice and excitement.
Robert and Kathy were there for every Christmas until we moved to the Austin area two years ago. Robert had an incredible mind for Texas Longhorn football information. He knew every fact and supported the team. When Kathy couldn't attend, he took the boys.
Robert was by far the most generous person one would meet. Most every week he brought the boys Lottery tickets and scratch offs.He was there for weddings, graduations, sporting events, and most all holidays.
Mr. Robert was not a fan of Verizon, or at least that was a common complaint when his remote wouldn't work. We only lived three minutes away, so helping with the electronics was a phone call away-and there were many of those calls.
Mr. Robert had many life-long friends that we shared a common interest. One, Bill Driscoll, was a former school friend. Their competition of football teams, Texas Longhorns and TCU was always worth a good argument. No doubt they have caught up with the last decade of wins and loses since Bill's death about ten years ago.
Mr. Robert and Kathy did not have any children. My son, Casey, named his son Cole Robert Wenzel after the relationship the Huggins had with my family.
Mr. Robert lived a great life. My family was blessed to have him a part of us for all these years. He will be greatly missed.
Robert was an amazing man. He meant so much to our family. You will be missed tremendously. We will love you forever❤️
