Dear Mrs. Jameson, My thoughts and prayers are with you as you mourn the loss of your husband, friend, lover- just so many roles he filled in your life. Some people don't think of those things, but, I do.. I hope the memories that were shared just between the two of you wrap you in comfort in the days to come. You were a great teacher to me– you called me "Ms.House-a-fire" as I rushed through my classwork, but you also knew something was up with me, and had me come in after school more than once, trying to get to the bottom of it, but even though it was on the tip of my tongue to tell you, abuse wasn't talked about– it made me feel embarassed and ashamed, not to mention what it did to my self esteem, but, you kept trying, and I'd like to think that your husband had the same passion in teaching his students, and cared SO much for his that he wanted to help them too. Some of us just couldn't be helped, because of the subject matter, but the ones who had a lesser problem (which can feel like a MOUNTAIN to a teenager!) I hope he was able to help, as I know you were. Thank you, for trying.. again and again! Teachers like you, and your husband are diamonds, and I'm sure your husband has students that will remember him very fondly.
