I worked with Bob for 10 years at The Cadence Group. He taught me a lot about perfecting my work and skills. When my daughter, Shanda, died in 1986 he sat with tears in his eyes in his office with me and looked at pictures of her and was so kind and compassionate. I know he was strict in his work relationships, he expected the best from all of us, but he also had a warm, compassionate heart. I will cherish my memories of him. Barbara, Greg and Janine – what a lovely tribute to your Dad. Always a gentleman. Bob was the first guy to reach out to me when my husband, Mike, passed away. No one should ever try and date ANYONE for at least 3-5 years after going through that! Your Dad was always there for me on good days and bad ones. He loved his family and grandchildren and always loved the times when he could spend time with you. Although the most handsome man I had ever known, he never seemed to think that about himself. He was first and foremost, my friend and I always respected the way he handled the setbacks in his life, with grace and dignity. Heaven is a much better place now that he is there!! We will miss him! I am so sorry for your loss. I so respected Bob as he and I both started as Delta Tau Delta Western Division Vice Presidents under Rock Clinton at the same time.
