Mr. Simmons I know heaven gained an angel because I remember you having the patience of Job with us kids. I remember the good times of going to the country in east Texas. I think it was to your mom’s house, I remember swimming in that snake infested pond. LOL. I remember the snakes swimming by us and right across our air mattress. That’s when I drew the line and said I’m done. Susan and I played so hard we were tired and usually fell asleep on the way home if we didn’t take a nap on her grandmother’s bed. Mr. Simmons always stopped by Duncan Donuts and got us 2 of our favorite donuts and chocolate milk on the way to the country. I remember Diane driving that huge car out on those country roads and Susan and I wondering what was scariest, Diane driving or the snakes swimming by us in the pond. Just kidding Diane. At one time Susan and I were inseparable. I have such fond memories of spending time at the Simmons’ house growing up. May you Rest In Peace Mr. Simmons. May God wrap His healing arms around the family as they go through these trying times. God bless each and every one of you.
