Robert G. Simmons, 88 of Mesquite, Texas went to be with the Lord on January 27, 2020 in Sunnyvale, Texas. Robert was born June 22, 1931 to J.C. and Karl Simmons in Seagoville, Texas. Robert is preceded in death by siblings, Johnny Simmons, Cheri Gregory, and Juanelle White; his first wife, Alice and stepson, Guy Hasley. He is survived by his loving wife, Juanice Simmons; daughters, Diane Dixon and husband, Doug, Susan Priddy and husband, Richard; stepdaughters, Paula Leimer, and Ellen Sampsel and husband, John; stepson, David Hasley and wife, Katrina. He leaves behind a legacy of 6 grandchildren, 12 step grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren.
Visitation for Mr. Robert Simmons will be on Thursday, January 30, 2020 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral service will be on Friday, January 31, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Inspiration Church, 1233 N. Beltline Rd, Mesquite, TX 75149. Burial will take place at Haven of Memories Memorial Park in Canton, Texas.
