Uncle Bob was a fun-loving man who was a good friend to my father, Phillip Smith. Through thick and thin, Uncle Bob was always there, a steadfast and gregarious personality with a heart of gold. I am lucky to have called such a generous and noble soul my "Uncle Bob". Rest in peace, dear uncle. You have earned it. You had a life well-lived and you lived it to the fullest. I can only imagine what kind of adventures you and my dad are having in heaven!

Bob was the best next door neighbor for 50 years. I don't remember a life without him as I was 5 when we moved in. What a wonderful man, neighbor, father, grandfather AND birthday buddy as June 13th was our special day. Condolences to you all. I look forward to attending a memorial service in his honor.
