Sent a gift in memory of Rose Marie Tompkins Smith
This is a picture of Rose blowing out her birthday candles on her 78th birthday while dining at BJ's. Aunt Gerri and all the Ginn's were there. That was a special day to remember.
Having known Rose as our accountant, I could not help but be inspired by her dedication to her profession. She was meticulous and precise in everything she did, to the point of chagrin to some of us who have worked with her in getting our "books" straight. Reconciling for that last "penny" was important, as she was tenacious in doing everything "right", not just at work, but in everything she did. Though strict with her work ethic, with everyone she met, she was also kind, compassionate, honest, genuine and a great listener. She remembered the names of everyone she has met, which is quite remarkable at 79! I've had the opportunity and pleasure to sit down with her at lunches and talk, not just about work, but of life in general. Her bedrock is her faith, loved her family deeply and was proud of them, especially her grandchildren. I will miss her terribly and will always feel a heart ache every time I pass by her office. Rose — you have made my life better by knowing you. You are a beloved friend and colleague who will always have a place in my heart. Rest in peace… Anna Arceo

I'm so sorry I missed that occasion. I believe I was sick. She doesn't have to blow out any more candles! 🎂

Dear Mom, Even though my heart feels like it's breaking now, I know it will heal one day. I will continue to hold you there with all my love and the sweet memories only God Himself can provide. I know His love mixed with yours will help my heart to heal. I look forward to our reunion at those pearly gates in Heaven where I know you will be waiting with your arms opened widely ready to welcome me home. All my love forever and always, Your loving Son.
Rose started as a friend of my sister and then became our CPA which turned into an amazing friendship. Her love for the Lord and the power of pray were always the foundation of her life. As a CPA she helped us in so many ways and no one will ever be able to replace her. She always took that extra step. We will miss her very much but look forward to seeing her again because we know she is with God. Kenneth and Cindy Garcia
