I had the pleasure of meeting Roy, I am Sharron Edward's sister brother in law Fred he worked foe several yrs for Roy and thought of Roy as a son would a father long after Fred started law enforcement always made time for his dear friend, thank you Roy for being a good friend too them. When I saw the obit in today's DMN I was saddened to hear of Mr. Roy Sayler's passing. I was a teenager in the mid to late 70s working for my Uncle, John P. Brodie AC co. John and his wife Betty are both gone but they would be proud of me expressing condolences in their memory. Roy was a special friend and business associate of theirs for many many years in Dallas and Roy was a favorite of John and Betty's. I can remember many stops at Roy's parts house both downtown and later off of Jupiter Road. The conversations between Roy and John were so funny and are memories I am proud to have. Roy and Millie were not just neighbors but more like grandparents to me. I have many fond memories of spending time with them at their house in Dallas and on occasion at their farm. When I would dog sit Tuffy and Misty, Roy always kept the cabinet stocked with chocolate covered peanuts and watermelon sparkles. I am very blessed to have known Roy and will miss him.
